Domains

Your name, before someone else takes it.

A domain is the one part of your business online that nobody else can lend you. We register it, put it in your name, keep it renewed and point it at your site and mail — so the only thing you have to decide is what to call yourself.

Pricing

What a name costs, per year.

Registry fees passed through at cost. The renewal column is the one to read — it's the number you'll pay every year after the first.

.co.zaMost chosen

Prices are per year and exclude VAT. Transferring a .com, .net or .org in adds a further year to whatever time is left on the domain, so the transfer fee is not a fee for moving — it buys you the extra year. Looking for an extension that isn't listed, or a name somebody already holds? Ask us and we'll check it. The full pricing page sets out what the fee covers and what it doesn't.

Every Domain Includes

The bits that catch people out.

Most domain trouble isn't the registration. It's who the name is registered to, and whether anyone is watching the renewal date.

Registered In Your Name

You are the registrant on the record, not us. The domain is your asset and it leaves with you if you ever go elsewhere.

Billed At Cost

We pass the registry fee through without a markup, on its own invoice, separate from any hosting or design work.

DNS Managed For You

Records set up and maintained on our side — website, mail, verification records — so you never edit a zone file.

Renewals Watched

Auto-renew on by default and a reminder well before expiry. Nobody should lose a domain to a missed invoice.

Connected Properly

Pointed at your site with a valid SSL certificate, and at your mail with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set correctly.

Transfers Handled

Moving one in from another provider is our job, not yours. We unlock, request and follow it through to completion.

How It Works

From idea to live address.

01. Tell Us The Name

Send the name you have in mind. If you're not settled on one, describe the business and we'll come back with options that are actually free.

02. We Check And Quote

We check it across the extensions worth holding and confirm the yearly price in writing. Nothing is paid for until you say go.

03. Registered To You

Registered with you as the legal registrant, paid up for the first year, with the ownership record sent to you once it clears.

04. Pointed Where It Belongs

We set the DNS, issue the certificate and configure mail — so the name resolves to your site and your address works the same day.

Already own a domain?

Bring it with you. We move domains in from any registrar, and there's no charge for the move itself beyond the registry's own fee.

Nothing goes dark while it happens. Your site keeps loading and your mail keeps arriving throughout, because the DNS is copied and verified before the transfer is even requested. Time already paid for on the domain is carried over, not forfeited — most gTLD transfers add a further year on top.

How the move goes

  • We handle the unlock and authorisation code with your current provider
  • Your existing DNS records are copied across and checked first
  • Website and email keep running through the whole transfer
  • Remaining time on the domain carries over — nothing is lost
  • Typically five to seven days for a .com, one to two for a .co.za
  • If your current provider stalls it, chasing them is our job

A name needs somewhere to point.

Registration and hosting are billed separately, so you're never tied to one because of the other. Take the domain now and the hosting when the site is ready — or both together and we'll set the whole thing up in one go.

Questions

Before you register.

Domains are cheap to buy and expensive to get wrong. These are the ones worth asking any provider, us included.

Who actually owns the domain?

You do. It is registered with your name and details as the registrant, which is the record that determines ownership. We're listed as the technical contact so we can manage it, and we'll hand over the authorisation code on request — no notice period, no fee, no argument.

Do I have to host with you to register a domain through you?

No. We'll register or transfer a domain and point it wherever you like, including at another provider's servers. Plenty of the domains we manage sit in front of sites we had nothing to do with.

Which extension should I choose?

If you trade mainly in South Africa, .co.za is what customers expect and what they'll guess. If you sell beyond the country, or the name matters more than the market, take the .com as well and point one at the other. Holding both is usually cheaper than the argument about which one to use.

What if the name I want is already taken?

We'll tell you straight away, and check who holds it and whether it's in use or parked. Sometimes a different extension solves it, sometimes a slightly different name is the better business decision. We don't broker purchases from domain squatters, but we'll advise on whether an approach is worth making.

What happens when it expires?

It shouldn't. Auto-renew is on by default and we send a reminder before the date. If a renewal is ever missed there's a grace period to recover it, though the registry charges a redemption fee to do so — which is exactly why we watch the dates.

Can I register a name now and build the site later?

Yes, and it's usually the right order. We'll register and park it, hold your mail on it if you want an address in the meantime, and it'll be waiting when the site is ready.

Let's create something amazing together.
